Fixing Others’ Mistakes

As part of its tax consulting practice, JPM identified an Ohio based ambulance provider that was significantly overpaying sales tax on its purchases.

After sharing our strategy with the business and their current accounting firm, they concluded that JPM’s assistance would not be needed. Instead, the business decided to move forward with its accounting firm and filed for sales tax refunds.

Approximately twelve months later, the business owner called JPM indicating that the sales tax refunds had been denied. They asked if we would be willing to help.

JPM agreed to help and worked directly with the governmental agency to have the original refund approved in full, and also increased the refund by over 50% due its technical expertise in the ambulance industry.

After the refunds were paid in full, the business owner sent a hand written personal note to JPM stating “THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!”
